This being human is a guesthouse, every morning a new arrival. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond. —Rumi
“An encounter with meditation teacher Richard Miller is an encounter you do not forget. Richard is one of this generation’s most important teachers of nondual wisdom. He reminds us that in our true nature we are already free, enlightened, and awake, and that in any moment we can savor Divine presence.”
- Stephen Cope, director of the Institute for Extraordinary Living
The teachings of nondual yoga reveal our innate nature as pure being, pure presence, which expresses itself in our body and mind and in all our relationships as ineffable peace, joy, love, and compassionate loving-kindness. Our presence can never be objectified. But it can be experientially embodied as our moment-to-moment lived experience. This is the reason we are called “human Beings”. This is the path of yoga. This is the path of delight, wonder, astonishment and love.
Welcoming is the first step on this path: learning to meet, greet, welcome and love all that we are and everything as it is. In welcoming we learn to observe our body, breath, mind, emotions, and the world around us. In welcoming transformation effortlessly unfolds and we find ourselves set free from self-judgment, shame, guilt, and blame. In welcoming we discover our innate dispositions of loving and kind-hearted compassion and responsive action to each circumstance we face, inwardly and outwardly. We learn to observe everything, as movements unfolding in the stillness of pure awareness.
As we investigate the nature of pure awareness our sense of separation naturally dissolves, giving way to the revelation of our underlying unitive presence of pure being. Conceptual understanding gives way to heart-felt, intuitive knowing, and we begin to live from our innate essence of delight, wonder, astonishment and love, the unitive Mystery and homeground of the entire universe.
This retreat is your invitation to call off your search, and awaken to, and live from, your heart’s deepest longing. During retreat we engage periods of guided and silent meditation, bodysensing yoga, co-meditation, and interactive dialogue to realize and live our underlying essence of pure being, pure presence, pure love. Only when we are able to realize being in the midst of all life circumstances, will we, and the world, be at peace. 30 CE hours available for YA, PSY, MFT, LCSW, RN**click here for more information regarding earning continuing education credits.
“Richard’s teachings are like being handed a “hot fudge sundae with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry—slowly enjoying every spoonful and finding God at the bottom of the bowl” —Michael Fraser
