The Integral Yoga Academy at Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, Virginia, is the global center for Integral Yoga teacher training and one of the most respected schools of Yoga teacher training in the world. The Academy’s mission is to provide inspired training of outstanding quality to a worldwide community of Yoga practitioners, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
The Integral Yoga Academy and its six affiliate schools maintain four Registered Yoga Schools (RYS®) with Yoga Alliance and conduct dozens of teacher training programs each year. Worldwide, there are six Integral Yoga Institutes, twenty-three Centers and nearly 5,000 Integral Yoga teachers on six continents.
Integral Yoga teacher training has been offered for more than forty years, originally by Sri Swami Satchidananda. Many of our faculty studied for years directly with this living master and have practiced and taught Integral Yoga for decades, and several have pioneered the therapeutic elements of Yoga to restore health and wellbeing. Our residential programs allow students the opportunity to study with a diverse range of qualified trainers while fully immersing themselves in the yogic lifestyle. Integral Yoga is developing an 800-hour training program, which we will offer upon accreditation by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
The following disclaimer maintains Integral Yoga’s compliance with Yoga Alliance’s Policy on the Use of Yoga Therapy Terms:
The Yoga therapy components of trainings offered by, and through, the Integral Yoga Academy, Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, and its affiliate schools are based on the professional licensure, credentials and other qualifications of our renowned interdisciplinary faculty, and not derived from our status as a RYS with Yoga Alliance Registry. Our collective faculty includes medical doctors, nurses, psychologists, physical and massage therapists, experts in Ayurveda and integrative medicine, and other licensed professionals.
